CCG 177 - Splish Splash - FEATURED AS TODAY'S GALLERY FAVE TOOT TOOT!

This week, our inspiration challenge is Focus on Product. It involves flowers, lace and metal.

Gosh don't you just hate it when you have everything planned for and are just waiting for that last bit to arrive. The disappointment was great when I finally got the pps long in coming and they were anything but teal! Desperate 360 degree switch of plans and frantic stash raiding resulted in this page which is nothing at all as the one I had originally in mind.

Anyhow, photos of hubby in the Stockholm archipelago were taken last summer. Made them b&w, mounted them on cardstock that was mounted on cardboard that was propped up on sticky pads to add height. I cut out two circles of cardboard, the bottom one I worked generously with Gesso, paint dabbed in blue and greenish, misted with green, blue and teal.

The top one was cut out and heavily doused in Stickles for a shimmering water effect and mounted on top of the other. Droplets and pearls were added. Pps are a wild mix of ancient BG and newer MM. Flowers are Prima, lace, teal brad, shells, pearls, water droplets and ricrac from my stash. The metal are the starfish next to the shells and the Maya Road trinket pins that I stuck into the left cluster for a makeshift flower bed. Thanks a mill for having a peek, any comments are truly appreciated!
